​​Grateful Bread is a small group of musicians and vocalists who use music as a bridge to build relationships that foster hope and wellbeing. This group typically meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday afternoons (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm) of each month.  We have fun in performing and seek to draw our audience into signing with us.  We hope to reach as many inmates as possible.  

We believe in the dignity and worth of all individuals.  All are created in the image of God. Mistakes and bad choices may mar that image but do not destroy it.  Underneath the “stuff” God’s image and fingerprint still remains. 

We do a mixture of styles including folk,  country, rock, gospel and contemporary Christian music. Our hope is that inmates might see themselves in a better light, find healing and self-acceptance, and experience God’s life changing love.

• improvement of institutional morale
• lubricant for better working relations between inmates, guards and staff
• stepping stone for involvement in other life changing goals/strategies
• emotional and spiritual health of inmates & reduced recidivism
