Christ UMC offers a variety of opportunities for children ages newborn through 5th grade within our Sunday School on Sunday mornings. Our mission is to create an environment for children that is compassionate, inclusive, loving, safe, and thoughtful for them to learn and grow.

Sunday Mornings

Children's Time

All children are invited to join Pastor Dale up front for Children’s Time early in the 10:00 am worship service. Children can then attend their respective Sunday School classes:

• Younger Elementary (4 year old through 2nd grade)
• Older Elementary (3rd through 5th grades)

We provide loving childcare for infants and toddlers through age 3 in our Nursery on Sunday mornings during the 10:00 am worship service.

Registration & Safety

Registration for Children's Ministries

Please fill out this information form to register your child(ren) grades 5 & under for Sunday School & Children's Ministries, so that we can ensure we have all appropriate contact information, allergy information, etc. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact Leah Wood, Interim Director of Children's Ministry.

We also provide childcare for church sponsored events. We ask that you call in advance to let us know you will need childcare for the event. You may make a reservation by contacting Eliza Prater, Childcare Coordinator.

A safe environment for children

The Safe Sanctuary policy requires all volunteer leaders and staff to complete sexual abuse prevention training and complete a background screening. Please refer any questions to Kelly Carpenter, Church Administrator.

Activities

Bible Bucks Store

Children can earn Bible Bucks to spend at the Bible Bucks Store by coming to worship or Sunday School, bringing their Bible to Sunday School, showing excellent behavior during Sunday School, and by bringing a friend to church. We open the Bible Bucks Store quarterly and it is always filled with fun goodies. Kids also have the opportunity to donate their Bible Bucks to the Heifer Project.

Donations of new toys, games, or other children's items for the store are accepted.

Asbury Bells

We invite any child in 4th-8th grade to join us and learn how to play handbells. No music experience is required. Practices are Sundays in the Music Room from 4:15 pm-5:15 pm.

For more information, email Desi Jensen.
